FINGERS & YOUR HEALTH

Chirognomy is the interpretation of the physical make up of ----your Palm , the fingers, the mounts present on the front side of your palm (below the fingers), the nails, its shape and colour, flexibility of your palm and fingers. A doctor diagnoses the disease first by observation. If the tongue is thickly coated , there is a possibility of indigestion , constipation or any other problem related to our stomach. The yellowness of the normally white eyes is an indication of Jaundice. He  checks your eye ( the bottom portion) and front side of your palm , to check for iron deficiency. Similarly, A Palmist gets an idea, of basic instincts of a person, by observing his fingers and the structure of the Palm. The basic instincts are one 's biological needs like thirst, hunger, sex and other reactions like anger, fear , jealousy etc., Besides, it is possible to find the general health defects of a person through proper study of Chirognomy . For example, the colour o...

THE THUMB

“ There is no chance, no destiny, no fate   Can circumvent or hinder , or control The firm resolve of a determined soul. Gifts count for nothing; will alone is great; All things give way before it soon or late. What obstacle can stay the mighty force Of the sea-seeking river in its course, Or cause the ascending orb of day to wait? Each well born soul MUST WIN what it deserves. Let the fool prate of luck. The fortunate Is he whose earnest purpose never swerves, Whose slightest action or inaction serves    The one great aim. Why, even Death stands still And waits an hour sometimes for such will.” ~ ELLA WHEELER WILCOX

RINGS ALSO RING A RING

Wearing rings on particular fingers also carries certain meanings, relevant to that particular finger it is worn upon. Observe the digit upon which the ring is worn . Subconsciously the person would have needed an extra boost or reinforcement to the area indicated, by characteristics THAT finger , on which the ring is worn upon. A ring on the Index finger denotes self obsession, a need for domination or sometimes an inferiority complex. A ring on the Middle finger – need for stability and order, need for sense of values or concerned with family , money or material things . A ring on the Ring finger – indicates success in love matters, it may also indicate that a person is more bothered with image and   opinion of others. A ring on the Little finger—is more commonly worn by sexually curious people ; and also by people who are interested in communication e.g., writers, public speakers, politicians . A ring on the Thumb – shows a desire for greater Will pow...

LARGE PALMS & SMALL PALMS

LARGE PALM & SMALL PALM In approximately 1 person in 20, the palms are disproportionately large or small. Their palms appear oddly over size or tiny for the person’s body size. As a rough guide, the length of the face and the length of the whole palm ( including fingers) should be about the same size. The base of the palm at the wrist, kept in line with the chin, the finger tip should   almost reach near or just above the eyebrows. If they are well short of this distance – you may label it as a SHORT palm. If they reach well beyond the hair line – you may call it a LONG palm. Disproportionately small palms are fond on intense , impatient people. They tend to be a touch manic;   Ofcourse , they are good in a crisis situation , where fast reactions are necessary,   and no time for details. Encourage Yoga and relaxation techniques to such people. Disproportionately large palms are found on people who are slow, tenacious, detail seeking ...

SOME POINTERS TO SELFISHNESS THROUGH PALMISTRY

FOLLOWING ARE SOME POINTERS TO A SELFISH NATURE: We will go from physical make up of the palm namely - finger shapes and mount configuration and then later towards the lines , to understand this point. We have already seen about the nature of a long fingered person. He is bound to be slow, cautious and calculative in his reaction. Usually when a person in trouble needs help, and asks you and when your reaction is not spontaneous, but , calculative , that is --- when you start thinking, whether helping this person, would be useful for yourself, in the long run, it is not really generous. Is it? Long and thin, bony fingers accentuates this point. Critical nails adds flavour to it. When you observe the mounts,  if the generous mounts Venus and Sun are deficient but the Mount of Moon is over developed, (fig.1) the person tends to be self centred. { Reason:-  Mount of Moon , Mount of Saturn are referred to as ‘ cold mounts’ ;  when they are normally develope...

HOW IS YOUR WORK STYLE ? THROUGH PALMISTRY

Are you systematic and orderly or just work whenever you want to , in whims and fancies ? Do you keep your work place neat and organised or cluttered ? We can get some insight about our work style and how orderly and systematic we are , in our general life routine , by observing the palm. A finger which is long is capable of thinking and planning. In general they are patient, detail seeking and worried about the small things in life. If this long finger has  a knot (fig.1a) at the second phalange , the phalange – which represents orderliness in material things , such person will be very particular, about keeping things back in their original place and maintaining their sorroundings neat and tidy. Conic tips over this long, knotty fingers softens their nature. However, if they possess Square tips, they are strict disciplinarians and hard task masters to work with.                       fig 1a     ...

PALMISTRY, SCIENTIFIC ?

Prologue for this article is, from the book of THE HANDS OF CHILDREN by JULIUS SPIER.   Once more i repeat , that i do not claim for Chirology the title of an exact science, although i should like to point out , that neither medicine nor psychology are entitled to this claim. After all , medicine diagnoses internal illness from external psychological conditions and symptoms and,  as in chirology, intuition and speculation come in to play. Psychology, for instance , deals with the illness of the "soul " and bases its research on the phenomena and manifestations of the human soul, for the existence of which, there is no exact proof. Whereas medicine and psychology are universally accepted and permitted to commit errors without their usefulness and necessity being challenged, an infallibility is  demanded of the psycho-chirologist, which is never expected of the physician, psychiatrist or psychologist. The experienced chirologist does not neglect  the central prob...

PALMISTRY - SOME MISCONCEPTIONS !

Aim of this article is to emphasize the following MOOL MANTRA . Mool Mantra:  Before coming to a conclusion, regarding a query, always chant this! Always , make interpretation about a palm,  as a whole, and do not come to a conclusion, by a single sign or feature. A negative symbol, perhaps, is modified, by a positive feature in some other place. Never come to a conclusion, on impulse. Patience is a virtue, more so to a Palm reader! Misconception 1: A short life line , implies, that you are going to die young. Reality:  Many octogenarians*  have short Life Line , but still they continue to live past age 80. Following is the palm of a lady who is in her mid seventies. Fig.1 fig.1 Meaning: Life Line alone does not decide your longevity. A defective (short/ broken/islanded) Life Line probably  indicates a major change in your life OR some bothering painful domestic issues.         ...

HOLI - THE STORY BEHIND

Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather, do religious rituals in front of the bonfire, and pray that their internal evil should be destroyed as the bonfire starts. The next morning is...

MAHA SHIVARATHRI

Maha Shivaratri  is one of the most significant festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva.  This is the only festival which has the prefix MAHA. Lord Shiva is the only God who is named as MAHA Devaa. And it is a well known fact, that, to overcome the most powerful lord of death ,( untimely, especially)  the only mantra, that acts as Raksha is the MAHA Mrutyungya Mantra, the mantra , chanted to appease ,  Mahadevaa. The day has many interesting Mythological stories behind it. According to most of the legends, the day of Maha Shivaratri is associated with Lord Shiva and many cosmic events related to Him took place on the very same day.  When is it celebrated? There is a  Shivaratri  in every luni-solar month of the Hindu calendar, on the month's 13th night /14th day, but once a year in late winter (February/March) and before the arrival of spring, marks  Maha Shivaratri  which means "the Great Night of Shiva". ...
